Cookie Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026 · Version 1.0
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels) work in comparable ways. We group them as strictly necessary or non-essential (analytics).
2. Strictly necessary — always on
These are required for the site to function and don't need consent.
| Name | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| atk_consent | Remembers your cookie choice (accepted / rejected) | 12 months |
| atk_token (local storage) | Keeps you signed in on this device | Until sign-out |
| Session/security tokens | Authentication, 2FA and CSRF protection | Session |
3. Analytics — only with your consent
These load only after you accept. They help us understand which episodes and articles resonate.
| Provider | Purpose | More info |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Aggregate, IP-anonymised usage measurement | Google privacy |
| Meta Pixel | Measures campaign effectiveness | Meta privacy |
| First-party analytics | Our own pageview/engagement counts, stored by us | This site |
Analytics run only if the site owner has configured GA4/Pixel IDs and you have accepted. If those IDs are blank, only our own first-party analytics run (still consent-gated).
4. Managing cookies
Use our Cookie settings to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though strictly necessary cookies are needed for sign-in and security.
5. Changes
We'll update this policy if our cookie use changes, with a revised date above.
